Geocgi is seeking a Mid-Level GIS Analyst to support complex GIS and information technology projects in a mission-driven environment for our client, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). This role supports project and operational efforts involving geospatial analysis, enterprise systems, workflow modernization, and data-driven decision-making. The ideal candidate brings a strong understanding of GIS operations, enterprise systems, and business processes, along with the ability to support project coordination and technical analysis across large-scale environments.

This opportunity will be performed onsite at the location of 1315 Silver Spring Metro Complex 3; Marine Chart Division, Silver Spring, Maryland, 20910.

Key Responsibilities:

Support the planning, coordination, and execution of GIS and IT projects.

Assist with management of project schedules, deliverables, risks, and reporting.

Support analysis and improvement of GIS workflows and operational processes.

Contribute to modernization and optimization of enterprise GIS systems.

Analyze and document complex operational workflows from data ingestion through final product delivery.

Support evaluation and management of GIS software, systems, and infrastructure.

Collaborate with technical teams and stakeholders to support mission requirements.

Prepare status updates, documentation, and technical reports.

Assist leadership in identifying opportunities for improved efficiency and business process enhancement.

The following are requirements of the Mid-Level GIS Analyst:

U.S. Citizen and Active U.S. Passport.

Bachelor’s degree in Geography, GIS, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

5+ years of experience supporting software engineering, enterprise architecture, information assurance, enterprise infrastructure, business process reengineering, or systems analysis and design efforts.

Strong understanding of GIS systems, operational workflows, and enterprise or production-level environments.

Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and collaborate effectively across teams.

The following are preferred of the Mid-Level GIS Analyst:

Public Trust Clearance

Experience supporting large-scale GIS modernization efforts.

Familiarity with enterprise GIS platforms and geospatial workflows.

Experience supporting federal or defense programs.

Knowledge of business process analysis and operational optimization.

The annual base salary range for this position is anticipated to be $90,000 $110,000 USD. The listed salary range represents our good faith estimate for this position.
