Part time Foundation Director needed. Our facility is a full service hospital that was originally built in 1949 in Prairie City. The hospital was then rebuilt in 1960 in John Day. In May of 2001 ground was broken for the 7 million dollar replacement facility that was completed in August 2003. Our hospital has been designated a critical access hospital and is licensed for 25 beds. The Medical Center Clinics are housed within the facility and consist of a Family Practice Rural Health Clinic and a General Surgery Clinic. Our Care Center is a 40-bed intermediate care facility located in Prairie City. The Care Center provides several options for senior living in Grant County, including 24-hour nursing care, restorative care with rehabilitative services, respite care and adult day care. Job Description: The Director of our Healthcare Foundation manages and directs the activities and day to day operations of the Foundation to accomplish its statement of purpose in support of the mission. The Director will provide leadership and coordination for foundation fundraising efforts which includes donor identification, endowment generation, gift facilitation, and conducting annual events and fundraising drives. Conducts grant writing and reporting as necessary to support the foundation and BMHD. Manages and coordinates BMHD public relations, community engagement, and communication activities. Works with CEO, organizational marketing committee and other facility stakeholders as necessary to carry out organizational public relations goals. Acts as a liaison with various outside agencies, organizations, and the community in order to promote positive public relations and communication for BMHD and the Foundation.
