Network Cyber Security Engineer

Hourly Rate: $28/hour
Conversion Salary: $70,000-75,000
Brief Description:
The Cybersecurity Engineer for the Secure Boundaries team will work with the broader team to provide technical and engineering expertise for the Cyber Security Department and the broader organization within Huntington.
Detailed Description:
This role requires the individual to have the aptitude to learn and to support the team’s work in four primary areas: Remote Browser Isolation, securing enterprise browsers, internet proxy configurations, and SSL decryption policy management. To be successful the candidate must be driven and well-organized, with strong attention to detail. It is essential for this individual to be self-motivated and tenacious, thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment, and complete tasks on agreed schedules.
Primary Responsibilities:
Assist in Remote Browser Isolation activities to virtualize browsers to control access.
Support secure enterprise browser initiatives completing browser replacement to control access on non-Huntington devices.
Support internet proxy configuration defining sites colleagues can access.
Assist in the management of SSL decryption policies.
Provide excellent customer service for internal and external customers to support security initiatives and to perform incident response.
Assist in maintaining the effectiveness of security tools and technologies throughout the enterprise environment.
Aid in the evaluation, design, and implementation of security related solutions, adhering to established change control processes.
Maintain a high level of technical expertise on Cybersecurity defense-in-depth technologies and best practices by performing ongoing research and engagement to maintain awareness of industry trends.
Participate in all Agile ceremonies such as Daily Stand Ups, Sprint Planning, Sprint Demo/Reviews, Sprint Retrospectives, and Backlog Refinement as needed.
Participate in team’s rotational 24x7 on-call support.
Job Requirements
Minimum Requirements:
0 to 2 years of experience in a cybersecurity related role with a bachelor’s degree or equivalent transferable experience through coursework, internships, or work experience in lieu of participation in the Elevate Program.
Skills:
Basic understanding of and experience with multi-factor authentication and single sign-on.
Basic understanding of and experience with internet proxies, URL/proxy filtering.
Understanding of browser functionality and internet interactions.
Understanding of and experience with Zero-Trust concepts such as deny by default and permit based on specific parameters.
Basic understanding of and experience with basic networking concepts such as routing, switching ports, and protocols.
Understanding of SSL and TLS encryption.
Strong technical writing and verbal communication skills.
Experience with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Strong aptitude with demonstrated curiosity and willingness to learn business and technology processes and solutions.
Ability to manage tasks effectively, meet deadlines and stay organized with minimal supervision.
Ability to communicate clearly and succinctly with team members and stakeholders when sharing updates and presenting work in team settings.
