POSITION SUMMARY
The Temporary Office Support provides administrative support duties using established department procedures. This temporary position may include record keeping and filing responsibilities, preparing and processing documents, scanning and/or organizing data/files within digital databases/systems following data security procedures.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The essential duties and responsibilities of this position are included, but are not limited to the following:
1. Provides routine or non-routine administrative support duties.
2. Prepares, scans, and indexes a variety of physical files, documents, and/or confidential information into digital formats ensuring accuracy, organization and secure storage in electronic databases, ensuring data integrity and security during the conversion process.
3. Ensures assigned work is complete and accurate, corrects errors as needed, organizes records and follows the specific department procedures for handling sensitive and/or private information.
4. Prioritizes assigned work to meet required timelines.
5. Performs other assignments and other miscellaneous support duties as necessary and/or assigned to support efficient and effective county operations.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this position successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily. Listed below are minimum qualifications that are representative of formal education, work experience, and specific requirements that are required of this position.
· High school diploma or G.E.D.; and a minimum of one (1) year of office administrative support or related work experience
· Valid driver’s license or evidence of other transportation
· Per department assignment, must clear a security background check, including fingerprinting

RESPONSIBILITY
This position does not deviate from detailed directions given by the supervisor and guides, e.g., standard operating procedures (SOPs), handbooks, and reference manuals.
Low if any coordination of work with other individuals.
Work relieves others in the unit/ office of simple, repetitive tasks. The work has minimal impact outside of the immediate organizational unit.

This position may encounter non-public data in the course of these duties. Any access to non-public data should be strictly limited to accessing the data that are necessary to perform the duties. While data are being accessed, this position should take reasonable measures to ensure the non-public data are not accessed by individuals without a work reason. Once the work reason to access the data is reasonably finished, this position must properly store the non-public data according to the applicable provisions of Mower County employee policies and Minnesota or federal law.
