Position Title:

CNC Programmer / Operator – Laser & Press Brake

Job Summary:

Indy Aerospace is seeking a skilled and motivated CNC Programmer/Operator to join our growing aerospace manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on aerospace manufacturing experience and the ability to program and operate CNC equipment, including laser cutting machines and press brakes, while maintaining strict aerospace quality standards. This position requires strong blueprint reading skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities:

Program, set up, and operate CNC machinery

Operate and maintain laser cutting equipment

Operate CNC and/or manual press brake machinery

Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructions

Inspect parts to ensure compliance with specifications and aerospace quality standards

Perform machine adjustments and basic troubleshooting

Maintain accurate production and quality records

Follow all company safety procedures and AS9100 quality requirements

Qualifications:

Must have aerospace manufacturing experience

3+ years of CNC programming and operating experience preferred

Experience with laser cutting and press brake operations

Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings

Strong understanding of tight-tolerance manufacturing

Familiarity with aerospace materials and processes preferred

Strong attention to detail and quality

Ability to use measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges

Strong problem-solving and communication skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Requirements:

Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test

Reliable transportation and strong attendance

Ability to stand, lift, and work in a manufacturing environment

Preferred Experience:

Knowledge of AS9100 quality standards

Experience with sheet metal fabrication

Experience working in a fast-paced aerospace production environment
