Royal Cabinets is seeking a high-impact, bilingual (Spanish/English) Financial Controller with proven experience in maquiladora operations, cross-border manufacturing, and international financial consolidation. This role will lead and optimize financial performance across our U.S. and Mexico operations, serving as a strategic partner to senior leadership. The ideal candidate brings strong expertise in manufacturing accounting, cost accounting, import/export compliance, and maquiladora financial structures, along with a track record of improving reporting, controls, and operational KPIs. This is a hands-on leadership role with advancement potential to CFO.
Key Responsibilities
Lead financial operations and accounting teams across the U.S. and Mexico, including direct oversight of accounting managers, payroll, and billing functions
Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting, including consolidation of maquiladora (Mexico) operations
Develop and track budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis for manufacturing and operational departments
Oversee cost accounting, labor cost analysis, and standard costing models for production environments
Ensure compliance with maquiladora regulations, including IMMEX program, import/export policies, tariffs, and transfer pricing considerations
Collaborate with operations to define and track KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) tied to productivity, efficiency, and profitability
Strengthen internal controls, audit readiness, and financial reporting accuracy across both countries
Lead ERP system optimization and business intelligence initiatives to support data-driven decisions
Coordinate annual audits, inventory counts, fixed asset management, and financial compliance
Manage risk, insurance programs, and regulatory requirements
Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing, bilingual finance team
Required Qualifications
Bilingual fluency in Spanish and English (required) – must be able to communicate effectively with U.S. and Mexico teams
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/CMA strongly preferred)
5–7+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience in manufacturing, maquiladora, or cross-border operations
Demonstrated experience with maquiladora accounting, international consolidations, and Mexico statutory reporting
Strong understanding of:
Cost accounting & manufacturing finance
Transfer pricing & intercompany transactions
Import/export compliance and tariff classifications
Advanced technical proficiency in:
ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, or similar)
Advanced Excel (required); SQL or data analytics tools preferred
Proven leadership experience managing multi-location or international teams
Strong analytical, strategic, and communication skills
Preferred Experience
Direct experience working with IMMEX / maquila programs in Mexico
Exposure to cross-border tax structures and compliance
Experience supporting high-growth manufacturing or distribution organizations
Compensation & Benefits
Base Salary: $120,000 – $160,000 (based on experience and qualifications). Bonuses are based on the Company's profitability
