5th-Grade Science & Math Teacher

We are seeking an enthusiastic and innovative educator to join our 5th-grade team.

The ideal candidate will foster a love for inquiry-based learning in Science and a growth mindset in Mathematics.

This role is responsible for creating a classroom environment that encourages curiosity, critical thinking, and collaborative problem-solving as students prepare for the transition to middle school.

Key Responsibilities Curriculum & Instruction: Develop and implement engaging lesson plans STEM Integration: Facilitate hands-on science experiments and "productive struggle" in math to bridge the gap between abstract concepts and real-world application.

Differentiation: Utilize data-driven instruction to meet the needs of a diverse range of learners, providing both remediation and enrichment.

Classroom Management: Establish a positive, inclusive, and structured classroom culture rooted in mutual respect.

Assessment: Design and administer formative and summative assessments to track student progress and inform future instruction.

Collaboration: Work closely with the 5th-grade team and specialists to ensure a cohesive student experience.

Communication: Maintain proactive and professional communication with parents regarding student academic and social-emotional growth.

Required Qualifications Qualifications & Skills Education: Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education, Science, Math, or a related field.

Certification: Valid State Teaching License.

Experience: Previous experience teaching upper elementary.

Tech Savvy: Proficiency with educational technology
