Job Description

The Procurement Analyst will be responsible for processing inbound purchased finished goods and in-transit inventory, maintaining purchase order receipts & reconciliation, processing import containers in our ERP/database, assisting/supporting the buyers/planners with PO discrepancies, and working with logistics on import container customs clearance. The successful candidate must be flexible and multi-task oriented with strong attention to detail.

Duties:

Responsible for the data processing of import containers, PO receipts, & in-transit inventory tracking

Controls the flow of import materials from container shipment, through customs clearance, and delivery

Ensure accuracy with supplier shipment – PO match. Analyze and minimize supplier discrepancies

Manage Inno-Pak import container database – process new PO receipts into in-transit inventory. Track containers and update ETA based on the tracing system.

Enters Freight & Customs invoices daily. Acts as an intermediary between the supplier and customs/logistics in sharing documents and ensuring a smooth process of inbound freight to the delivery location.

Acts proactively to minimize & prevent container bottlenecks due to payment status

Backup resource to maintain supplier backorder (trouble) reports – updates ERP system, communicates discrepancies to buyer/planners

Provides timely communication to internal team – Procurement, Customer Care, Sales, Logistics, Accounting

Maintains centralized Import Logistics email account – invoices, shipping documents, container notifications

Implements and drives efficiency, policies, and procedures

Aids in other procurement tasks, including new item setup, new vendor setup, and BOM setup/maintenance.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment interacting with internal stakeholders, suppliers, logistics, and customs brokers

Performs other related duties as required and assigned

Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

Prior experience in procurement or sourcing within manufacturing or logistics environments is preferred.

Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP and Oracle EBS is highly desirable.

Knowledge of contract negotiation techniques, contract management practices, and procurement regulations, including FAR, is a plus.

Strong analytical skills with the ability to perform root cause analysis and problem-solving within complex supply chains.

Experience working with procurement management tools, MRP (Material Requirements Planning), and category management strategies is advantageous.

Education:

BA or BS in Supply Chain or Business is preferred

Experience:

Min 1 yr business, analysis, and critical thinking experience

Import/Export background

MS Excel Analysis experience

Supply Chain Experience

Experience in the Packaging Industry
