About the Opportunity

A growing behavioral health program in California is seeking a Medical Director (Psychiatrist) with Adult Patient Care responsibilities. This is a hybrid leadership and clinical role, offering the opportunity to shape clinical programming while continuing direct patient care in a supportive, mission-driven environment.

Position Highlights

Key Responsibilities

Medical Director Duties:

Provide clinical leadership and oversight of psychiatric services

Ensure quality of care, compliance, and best practices

Support and mentor clinical staff

Participate in program development and process improvement

Collaborate with executive leadership on strategic initiatives

Clinical Responsibilities:

Conduct psychiatric evaluations for adult patients

Provide medication management and treatment planning

Manage ongoing care for patients with a range of psychiatric conditions

Collaborate with therapists, case managers, and care teams

Maintain accurate and timely documentation

Qualifications

MD or DO Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry

Active California license (or ability to obtain)

DEA required

Prior leadership or Medical Director experience preferred

Experience treating adult populations

Compensation & Benefits

Salary: $300,000 $400,000 annually (based on full-time)
