Senior Mechanical Engineer

Highlights/Qualifications
Design, development, and improvement of mechanical assemblies used in the actuator product lines. This role involves 3D modeling, testing, and close collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure our actuators deliver reliable and precise motion. This high-profile role focuses on mechanical assemblies, improving product performance, and supporting production with advanced troubleshooting and testing.
•Design and develop mechanical components, assemblies, and mechanisms used in electro-mechanical actuator systems.
•Create 3D CAD models, detailed drawings, and engineering documentation.
•Perform tolerance stack-ups, material selections, and engineering analyses to ensure robust mechanical performance.
•Support prototype builds, testing, and design validation activities, including data analysis and reporting.
•Troubleshoot mechanical issues in prototypes and production units, driving root cause analysis and corrective actions.
•Collaborate with electrical engineering, manufacturing, and quality to integrate mechanical designs into complete systems.
•Support process improvements aimed at manufacturability, cost reduction, and product durability.
•Participate in supplier discussions, reviewing feasibility and production readiness of new or revised components.
Qualifications
•Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field.
•5+ years of experience in mechanical design or product development, ideally with electromechanical, actuator, or motion-control products.
•Strong proficiency in 3D CAD (SolidWorks preferred) and mechanical drawings with GD&T.
•Solid understanding of mechanical systems, including gears, bearings, linear motion components, and load analysis.
•Experience with mechanical testing, measurement tools, and performance validation.
•Ability to collaborate effectively across engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain teams.
•Strong analytical, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
•Hands-on approach to prototype evaluation and troubleshooting.
Additional Valued Skills for this Position:
•Background in actuator technology or machinery that incorporates motors, gearing, or motion control.
•Familiarity with FEA tools or simulation software.
•Experience with DFM/DFA and manufacturing processes such as machining, molding, or casting.
•Exposure to reliability engineering, FMEA, or structured problem-solving methods.

Annual base salary: $110K to $150K depending on experience.
