BASIC FUNCTION: CASTO’s HR Business Partner will align HR initiatives and functions with business objectives and business needs with the residential property management division.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage recruiting for the residential division
Manage job postings
Review resumes, schedule and complete prescreens, and schedule interviews with residential hiring managers
Communicate role expectations
Complete reference checks
Complete employment verifications
Draft and extend offers
Collaborate with third party recruiting agencies
Partner with colleges and universities to recruit
Ensure job descriptions are accurate and regularly updated
Attend career fairs and hiring events
Attend off-site residential meetings
Manage onboarding for the residential division
Prepare and process new hire paperwork, including offer letters and other pre-hire documents
Communicate with hiring managers to determine first-day details for all new hires
Conduct new hire orientation
Manage summer hiring program
Complete 30, 60 and 90 day performance reviews with hiring managers
Complete 30, 90 and 1 year check-ins with new hires
Coordinate offboarding for the residential division
Prepare termination letters and other separation paperwork
Conduct exit interviews
Manage the Cristo Rey Student Work Program
Act as a liaison between the HR and residential departments
Maintain staff relations
Field incoming questions from associates within the residential division
Consult managers on employee relations matters and provide assistance with counseling discussions as needed
Provide on-site support as needed
Ensure safety requirements are met and conduct annual safety training within the residential department
Track the receipt of residential associate documents and enter into HR’s electronic filing system
Promote company culture
Act as a backup for payroll and timekeeping entries
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
2 years’ experience in Human Resources and/or Talent Acquisition/Recruiting, preferred
Ability to multitask and work in fast fast-paced environment
Excellent communication skills & the ability to interact with all levels of associates
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to work with/keep confidential information
Working knowledge of employment laws/regulations
Expected to obtain working knowledge of company and departmental policies and procedures
