We are looking for a Financial Reporting Manager to work for our client. The ideal candidate aligns with the responsibilities and qualifications outlined below.
This role is ideal for a detail-oriented accounting leader with a strong background in SEC reporting and technical accounting, preferably coming from public accounting. The Financial Reporting Manager will oversee external reporting, ensure compliance, and support high-level financial transparency.
Responsibilities
Lead the preparation and review of SEC filings (10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, and other disclosures)
Ensure financial statements and disclosures comply with U.S. GAAP and SEC regulations
Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting processes
Research and document technical accounting issues and new accounting standards
Coordinate closely with external auditors and manage audit processes
Develop and maintain internal controls over financial reporting (SOX compliance)
Partner with FP&A, accounting, and executive leadership on reporting and analysis
Review complex transactions and ensure proper accounting treatment
Mentor and develop accounting and reporting staff
Drive improvements in reporting processes, timelines, and accuracy Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
Active CPA required
5+ years of experience in accounting or financial reporting
Prior public accounting experience strongly preferred
Hands-on experience with SEC reporting and filings
Strong understanding of GAAP and technical accounting guidance
Experience with SOX/internal controls
