Key Responsibilities

Lead development efforts across Python and Java-based applications in cloud environments (AWS and/or Google Cloud Platform).

Design and build scalable solutions leveraging RESTful APIs and data integration patterns.

Support data movement and transformation activities, including ETL processes via both file-based and API-driven methods.

Partner with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions aligned with enterprise architecture.

Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior developers, supporting skill development and code quality.

Contribute to system design discussions and provide input on architecture decisions.

Ensure solutions align with internal standards related to security, compliance, and regulatory requirements.

Maintain a working understanding of the broader technology stack to support troubleshooting and technical inquiries. Required Qualifications

10+ years of software development experience (flexible for candidates with strong technical credentials).

Hands-on experience developing in both Python and Java.

Experience working within cloud environments, including AWS and/or GCP.

Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and integration patterns.

Experience with data movement and ETL processes, including both file-based and API-based approaches.

Demonstrated ability to mentor and guide less experienced developers.

Strong problem-solving skills and ability to navigate complex technical environments. Preferred Qualifications

Experience migrating legacy systems into Google Cloud Platform (GCP) environments.

Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform.

Exposure to enterprise architecture practices and governance frameworks.

Experience operating within regulated environments (e.g., financial services, banking, or similar). Additional Considerations

This role requires the ability to quickly understand and operate within an existing technology stack and development standards.

Time will be provided to onboard and learn internal systems, processes, and compliance requirements.

Expected to serve as a reliable point of contact for technical and architectural questions as ramp-up progresses
