Armed/Unarmed Security Guard

Job Description

We are currently seeking both armed and unarmed security guards to provide professional security services at an apartment complex in Columbia, SC. This role requires individuals holding a SLED certification or South Carolina Guard Card and offers both full-time and part-time opportunities to ensure round-the-clock coverage. The position involves team-based work, utilizing CCTV monitoring, and engaging with residents and visitors regularly to maintain a safe and secure environment.

Responsibilities

Conduct regular patrols to monitor premises and ensure safety

Prepare detailed incident reports for all security events

Maintain perimeter security to prevent unauthorized access

Enforce safety protocols and regulations consistently

Monitor CCTV systems to identify and respond to potential threats

Work assigned fixed or on-call shifts to maintain coverage

Collaborate with team members to manage security operations effectively

Engage with the public to provide assistance and ensure community safety

Required Qualifications

Minimum of 3 years experience in security operations

Valid SLED certification

South Carolina Guard Card

Proficient in conflict resolution and communication

Strong report writing skills

Excellent attention to detail
