Summary:
The Industrial Electrical Department Head provides academic and administrative leadership for all instructional and operational activities within the Industrial Electrical program. The role ensures high quality education aligned with industry standards, oversee curriculum development, supports faculty excellence, manages departmental resources, and fosters partnerships with industries to promote student success and workforce readiness.
Responsibilities:
Deliver high-quality technical instruction in classroom and laboratory settings to clients per contractual guidelines.
Apply course lesson plans to deliver hands-on instruction in classroom and laboratory settings.
Maintain instructional supplies and training aids.
Promote and instill safe working practices.
Measure, evaluate and record learning.
Provide trainee advisement on instructional matters.
Qualifications: Required work experience in some or all of the following areas -
Working knowledge of NEC required.
Experience in motor controls and/or DC motors and generators required.
Experience in P L C s.
NFPA 70 Electrical Safety
NCCER Certifications is a plus
Strong troubleshooting background.
Strong background in industrial electrical safety a plus.
Minimum of 3 years field experience in all areas of expertise.
Ability to work independently and self-manage.
Maintenance experience with High and Medium voltage equipment a plus.
Experience with breakers, switches, transformers, protective relays.
Experience with MOVs, test equipment, VFDs, power distribution and sub stations a plus
Preferred:
Preferred candidates will have 3 or more years of experience and a track record of progressive troubleshooting responsibilities during their work history.
Industry certifications and/or documented training in these areas.

Competent in computer skills
Salary:
Competitive pay package based on experience.
Classes are held in the mornings and evenings - Monday through Thursdays. No Fridays. No Weekends.
