About the Role

We’re looking for an experienced Powder Coat Painter to join our sheet metal fabrication team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for applying high-quality powder coat finishes to a variety of metal products while ensuring consistency, efficiency, and adherence to customer specifications.

What You’ll Do

Set up and operate powder coating equipment, including spray guns, booths, and conveyor systems

Prepare parts for coating (cleaning, masking, staging)

Perform color changes, including cleaning lines and switching materials

Mix and measure powders, paints, and chemicals to required specifications

Monitor and adjust oven settings to ensure proper curing

Inspect finished parts for quality, coverage, and defects

Monitor coating consistency, including flow and thickness

Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment

Conduct daily chemical testing and maintain proper balances

Read work orders, prints, and use measuring tools to meet specifications

Accurately track jobs and properly label finished parts

Identify and report quality issues

Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE

What We’re Looking For

3+ years of experience in powder coating, painting, or similar manufacturing role

Experience with powder coat lines, spray guns, and color changes

Ability to read prints and use basic measuring tools

Knowledge of coating processes and surface preparation

Strong attention to detail and quality

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Physical & Work Environment

Manufacturing/production environment

Standing, bending, and lifting up to 55 lbs. regularly

Exposure to powders, paints, and chemicals

PPE required (respirator, gloves, eye protection, etc.)
