At PetVet Care Centers, our mission is to improve the lives of animals and people — providing exceptional and compassionate care at every stage — for all the moments that matter.

Because life is better with pets.

We deliver the Ultimate Care Experience — every pet, every client, every time. That starts with a Culture of Care that supports our team members as much as the pets and clients we serve.

With more than 420 locally led hospitals and over 11,000 team members nationwide, we offer:

Local autonomy with national support

Career mobility and development opportunities

A collaborative, inclusive environment where your wellbeing comes first

You care for pets. We care for you.

Position Overview

Key Responsibilities

Collaborate with the Campus Program Manager to develop and implement a comprehensive campus recruitment strategy for the PetVet RISE program.

Build and maintain relationships with target schools, faculty, career centers, and student organizations to increase PetVet's visibility and engagement.

Plan and execute campus events, including career fairs, information sessions, workshops, and networking events, to promote PetVet as an employer of choice.

Conduct presentations and engage in meaningful conversations with prospective candidates, showcasing the unique opportunities offered by the PetVet Hospital Rotational Program.

Develop and maintain a pipeline of qualified candidates through effective sourcing techniques, such as resume screening, interviewing, and assessing candidates' skills and qualifications.

Coordinate and manage the interview process, including scheduling interviews, conducting on-campus and virtual interviews, and facilitating post-interview feedback.

Ensure a positive candidate experience throughout the recruitment process by providing timely and clear communication, addressing questions and concerns, and guiding candidates through each stage.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as HR and hiring managers, to align recruitment efforts with business needs and ensure a seamless onboarding process for new hires.

Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in campus recruitment, continuously seeking ways to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of the program.

Create content for social media posts promoting PetVet's campus initiatives and student opportunities.

Qualifications (Required)

Minimum of 3 years of experience in campus recruitment.

Proven track record of building successful relationships with target schools and cultivating a strong network within the campus recruiting community.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with students, faculty, and other stakeholders.

Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong organizational and project management skills.

Proficient in using applicant tracking systems (ATS) and other recruitment tools to manage candidate data and track recruitment metrics.

Flexibility to travel to various campuses as required with frequent weekend travel during the fall and spring.
