Our client is a growing structural steel and fabrication organization seeking a hands-on Production Operations Manager to lead daily operations inside a high-output production facility.
This is a leadership role for someone who understands how to drive production, maintain quality, improve workflow, and build accountability across a fabrication environment where schedules, safety, and execution matter.
You’ll oversee production operations, coordinate closely with project management and field leadership, and ensure the shop operates efficiently while delivering quality work on time.
This role is ideal for a strong manufacturing or steel operations leader who thrives on the floor, understands fabrication workflows, and can balance people leadership with operational execution.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
Lead day-to-day production operations across the facility
Drive productivity, scheduling, workflow coordination, and labor utilization
Supervise fabrication personnel and production support staff
Coordinate with Project Management, Purchasing, Safety, QA/QC, and Field Operations to ensure production timelines are achieved
Review drawings, specifications, and production requirements to support successful project execution
Monitor production performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement operational improvements
Maintain compliance with quality standards, safety protocols, and production procedures
Support workforce development, training, certifications, and operational accountability across the shop
Partner with leadership to evaluate production capacity, scheduling priorities, and operational impact on profitability
What We’re Looking For
5+ years of leadership experience within a manufacturing, fabrication, steel, or industrial production environment
Strong supervisory and team leadership capabilities
Experience managing production schedules, manpower planning, and shop operations
Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings and production blueprints
Understanding of structural steel fabrication, welding operations, or industrial manufacturing workflows
Strong communication and organizational skills with the ability to coordinate across departments
Knowledge of production safety standards and operational best practices
Bilingual Spanish is a plus, but not required
