An MEP Project Manager oversees the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) aspects of construction projects. This role coordinates design, procurement, installation, scheduling, budgeting, and commissioning activities to ensure MEP systems are completed safely, efficiently, and according to project requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Manage all MEP scopes for construction projects from preconstruction through closeout
Coordinate mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection subcontractors
Review drawings, specifications, and submittals for accuracy and constructability
Develop and maintain MEP schedules and sequencing plans
Monitor project budgets, costs, change orders, and procurement activities
Lead MEP coordination meetings with owners, architects, engineers, and subcontractors
Ensure compliance with building codes, safety standards, and quality requirements
Track project progress and resolve technical or field coordination issues
Support commissioning, startup, testing, and turnover activities
Coordinate inspections and ensure timely completion of punch-list items
Maintain project documentation, RFIs, meeting minutes, and reports
Assist with value engineering and constructability reviews
