HIRING FP&A / Senior Financial Data Analyst (Onsite – Houston, TX)

Senior Financial Analyst (Data Analysis and SQL server skills a must) will report to Corporate Finance and Accounting leadership and support financial decision-making through financial and operational data analysis, reporting, and modeling in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
Responsibilities include:
Write and optimize SQL queries to extract data from SQL Server databases; transform and validate data for use in Excel-based reporting and analysis.
Develop dashboards and reports in Power BI to convert data into actionable insights.
Perform financial and operational analyses; synthesize findings into clear, executive-ready insights for senior leadership.
Prepare recurring and ad-hoc analyses of revenue, COGS, gross margin, and profitability.
Analyze inventory trends, operating margins, expenses, and cost estimates; provide reporting and recommendations as needed.
Support budgeting, forecasting, pricing analysis, and long-range planning.
Maintain data integrity and build financial models using company systems and standard methodologies.
Prepare and analyze financial and operational data by customer accounts, product lines, and locations; assist Finance and Accounting leadership with presentations and reporting.
Qualifications / Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Analytics, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
4+ years of experience in financial analysis, FP&A, or a similar analytical role.
Strong SQL skills (SQL Server preferred), including writing queries with joins, aggregations, and data validation.
Advanced Excel skills (e.g., PivotTables, Power Query, complex formulas); experience building repeatable reporting tools.
Power BI experience (data modeling, DAX basics, and dashboard/report development).
Experience with budgeting, forecasting, profitability analysis, and management reporting.
Strong attention to detail, data integrity mindset, and ability to work with large/complex datasets.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate analysis into clear recommendations for non-technical audiences.
