We are seeking a dedicated Associate Attorney to join our legal team.

We are a boutique business litigation firm in Calabasas, California that handles cases involving real estate, insurance, professional liability and contractual disputes.

The Role

We are seeking a highly motivated Litigation Attorney with 1-5 years’ experience to join our firm. The ideal candidate will work alongside the Partner and other Associates to prepare and try cases throughout California.

Duties

Conduct thorough legal research using Lexis Nexis and/or Westlaw to support case strategies and legal opinions

Draft clear, precise legal documents including pleadings, contracts, memoranda and correspondence

Assist in case preparation by organizing evidence, depositions, and other proceedings to observe and participate as appropriate

Attend court hearings, client meetings, depositions, mediations and other proceedings as appropriate

Skills

Proficient in legal research

Excellent writing skills with the ability to produce well-organized legal drafts and memoranda

Effective negotiation skills to facilitate agreements and resolve disputes amicably

Legal drafting for contracts, pleadings, motions and other documents

Experience in management of case files and documents

Ability to analyze complex legal issues critically while paying close attention to detail

Salary: $100,000 - $150,000 per year
