Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY
The Radiologic Technologist is primarily responsible for accurately and safely performing radiologic exams as ordered by the providers. The Radiologic Technologist must effectively communicate with patients to explain the procedure and to direct the patient to proper positioning. The technologist must be organized and able to prioritize tasks in a demanding work environment.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY
Perform radiologic procedures as ordered by provider
Position patient for proper view of the affected area
Effectively communicate with patient during the exam to answer questions and direct patient to proper positioning
Properly edit, crop, and annotate images
Quality check images
Practice radiation safety
Maintain clean and safe work environment
Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality in accordance with HIPPA and company policies and procedures
Additional administrative duties as assigned

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS
Graduated from an accredited school of Radiological Sciences (required)
Current ARRT license (required)
Licensed by the state of Kansas Board of Healing Arts (required or must obtain upon hire)
BLS certification (preferred)
