Job Description
Summary:
An ideal candidate for this position will have a forklift operator certification, a general
knowledge of warehouse shipping and receiving functions, familiarity with operating common
material handling equipment, strong excel skills, attention to detail and awareness of good
safety practices and procedures.
Responsibilities:
Load, unload, and move freight.
Count and record units of inventory or materials shipped or received within facility and
reporting any discrepancies to supervisors.
Lift heavy objects by hand or with common material handling equipment including but not
limited to: forklifts, hand trucks, and pallet jacks.
Communicate with trucking companies to schedule pickup and deliveries.
Use UPS/Fedex for daily inbounds and outbounds.
Actively participate in regular production meetings.
Maintain shipping and receiving areas in neat and orderly conditions.
Maintain, uphold, and implement a safe work environment following safety policies and
procedures.
Maintain forklift driving certification.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Experience working in warehouse or production environment.
Proficient in inbound and outbound inventory tracking.
Current forklift driver certification.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Have good attention to detail.
Organizational and problem-solving skills.
Ability to perform repetitious work and stand throughout an eight-hour shift.
Proficient Computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excell and Outlook required
Bilingual, fluent in English and Spanish a plus.
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Pay Rate depending on experience: $35k -$40K per year.
