OakLeaf Clinics - Eau Claire Medical Clinic has an exciting opportunity for a part-time Housekeeper to join our expanding team working 6-10 hours weekly, Monday through Thursday with potential to pick up additional shifts!
OakLeaf Clinics is dedicated to providing our patients with compassion, trust, and a lifetime of individualized care. Our healthcare team consists of physicians, nurse midwives, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, dietitians, nurses, respiratory therapists, and medical assistants working in concert with laboratory/imaging services to offer individualized care to the Chippewa Valley.
Position description
As a Housekeeper, you are responsible for cleaning patient rooms, offices, and maintaining common areas of the clinic, including the clinic entrance, waiting rooms, hallways, and restrooms. Duties include vacuuming, wiping down counters and sinks, and ensuring areas are tidy and free from hazards. You'll assist in restocking supplies by monitoring, ordering, and replenishing cleaning supplies and toiletries in all designated areas as needed. This position requires you to adhere to and comply with all safety and health regulations, report maintenance issues or safety hazards, use personal protective equipment (PPE), and follow safe handling of cleaning chemicals.
Responsibilities
Clean patient rooms, including vacuuming, wiping down counters, and cleaning sink
Deep clean areas on a rotating schedule to ensure cleanliness and hygiene
Clean vacuum, sweep, and maintain common and public areas of the clinic, including clinic entrance, waiting rooms, hallways, and restrooms, ensuring they are tidy and free from hazards
Monitor, order, and replenish cleaning supplies and toiletries in patient rooms and other designated areas as needed
Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate department for prompt resolution
Comply with all safety and health regulations, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe handling of cleaning chemicals
Qualifications
A high school diploma or GED equivalent
Prior experience in a healthcare or hospitality setting (preferred)
Familiarity with various cleaning methods, equipment, and chemicals used in healthcare environments
Keen eye for detail to ensure cleanliness and hygiene standards are met
Ability to stand, bend, lift, and move heavy objects
Knowledge of safety protocols and the ability to handle cleaning chemicals safely
Dependable and punctual, with a commitment to meeting work schedules
Willingness to work collaboratively with colleagues and other hospital staff
Ability to adapt to changing priorities and handle emergency cleaning situations as they arise
Good verbal communication skills to interact with patients, visitors, and staff in a professional and courteous manner
Salary: Starting at $18 per hour
