Job Description

The Maintenance Supervisor coordinates the installation, repair, and maintenance of building and plant systems, including complex mechanical and electrical equipment. This role ensures that facility and equipment maintenance activities run smoothly, safely, and efficiently, with a strong focus on preventive maintenance and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

Coordinate and oversee the installation, repair, and maintenance of building and plant systems, including mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment.

Lead and supervise maintenance activities to ensure work is completed safely, on time, and to a high quality standard.

Troubleshoot machinery and equipment issues, including electrical and pneumatic problems, to minimize downtime and maintain operational efficiency.

Interpret and work with electrical schematics and technical documentation to diagnose and resolve equipment faults.

Plan, implement, and monitor preventive maintenance strategies for facility systems and production equipment.

Ensure facility and equipment maintenance complies with internal standards and relevant safety and operational requirements.

Collaborate with other departments to schedule maintenance activities and reduce disruption to operations.

Maintain accurate records of maintenance work performed, including repairs, inspections, and preventive maintenance tasks.

Identify opportunities to improve reliability, performance, and safety of building systems and equipment.

Support the continuous improvement of maintenance processes and procedures.Essential Skills

Proven experience in the maintenance of machinery, including electrical troubleshooting.

Hands-on experience with pneumatic systems and pneumatic troubleshooting.

Strong troubleshooting skills in mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.

Experience in maintenance supervision or leading maintenance activities.

Proficiency in reading and working with electrical schematics.

Working knowledge of building systems, including plumbing, electrical, and mechanical components.

Proficiency in preventive maintenance strategies for facilities and equipment.

Experience with facility and equipment maintenance, including repair and upkeep of plant systems.

Ability to diagnose and resolve issues in electrical systems and components.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to safe work practices.Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience coordinating maintenance in a plant or manufacturing environment.

Ability to organize and prioritize multiple maintenance tasks and projects.

Strong communication skills to work effectively with colleagues across different functions.

Work Environment

This role is based in a small work environment that includes building and plant facilities with mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. You will work hands-on with machinery and equipment, using tools and technical documentation such as electrical schematics to perform maintenance and repairs. The position involves regular work on facility systems, including plumbing, electrical, and mechanical components, as well as executing preventive maintenance tasks. The environment is practical and operations-focused, where you spend significant time on the shop floor and within plant areas ensuring equipment reliability and safe operation.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Columbus, OH.Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $30.00/hr.
