A client of Insight Global is seeking a Lead Full Stack Engineer to join a mission-critical medical logistics platform team that supports web, mobile, and API-driven customer experiences. This role will play a key part in modernizing and scaling systems that support a growing customer base, with a strong emphasis on API services, web applications, and mobile platforms operating at scale in AWS.
This lead engineer will operate across platform, application, and infrastructure layers, contributing hands-on code while also providing technical leadership and system-level guidance-particularly supporting teams responsible for web, mobile, and API development. The ideal candidate has seen large, complex systems succeed and fail, understands how modern systems are built and run in production, and can apply those lessons to guide cleaner, more resilient implementations.
The role requires someone comfortable operating in ambiguity, driving work autonomously, and contributing across feature delivery, platform capabilities, and customer-facing interfaces as the platform continues to evolve.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
• Work primarily across API, Web, and Mobile teams, contributing code and technical guidance
• Build and enhance enterprise Java-based services that run inside the core platform
• Help design, implement, and evolve API interfaces for both existing and new customers
• Contribute hands-on development to web and mobile systems, including standing up new features alongside frontend and API teams
• Apply system-level thinking to new feature development, helping teams avoid common pitfalls at scale
• Support platform infrastructure and runtime concerns, ensuring applications are built with production behavior in mind
• Leverage AWS services appropriately and understand when and how to use them effectively
• Collaborate closely with UX, mobile, web, and platform engineers to improve delivery outcomes
• Over time, take on more customer-facing responsibilities, supporting implementations and external integrations
Compensation:
$50/hr to $52/hr.
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
