Oakstone Community School is hiring a K-12 Intervention Specialist / Special Education Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year.
We are a small public school serving students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), offering small class sizes, collaborative co-teaching, and strong staff support.
Key Responsibilities (IEP, Special Education, Co-Teaching) * Manage IEP caseload (IEP development, annual reviews, compliance, progress monitoring) * Provide special education services, accommodations, and modifications * Implement behavior intervention plans (BIPs) and track behavior data * Deliver direct instruction and co-teaching in inclusion and small-group settings * Support students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and diverse learning needs * Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and related service providers * Track student data, goals, and academic progress Required Qualifications (Ohio Licensure) * Valid Ohio Intervention Specialist License oMild/Moderate OR Moderate/Intensive oDual licensure preferred * Experience with IEPs, special education compliance, and progress monitoring * Strong classroom management, differentiation, and collaboration skills * Ability to support students with disabilities, ASD, and below grade-level learners Preferred Endorsements / Content Areas * Science Teacher (MS/HS) - Biology, Physical Science, Chemistry * Math Teacher (Grades 7-12) - through Algebra II * ELA Teacher (MS/HS) - Reading, Writing, Language Arts Employment Requirements (Ohio Schools) * Willing to complete Ohio BCI & FBI background checks (upon hire and every 5 years) * Must obtain and maintain CPR / First Aid / AED certification (renewed every 2 years) Why Apply to Oakstone?
