They monitor physical conditions, prescribe medication, and administer chemotherapy and other treatments.

Oncology RN’s also monitor patients who are acutely ill with a wide variety of medical problems and diseases or are recovering from surgery.

They handle large patient loads, juggle multiple patient populations, and adapt to the ever-changing face of nursing care.

Although most Oncology RN's work in the hospital setting, they can work in a variety of settings includes camps, clinics, schools, and ambulatory care centers.Education/Requirements:\nBachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN): 4-Year Education Associates Degree in Nursing (ADN): 2-Year Education You must earn an ADN or BSN degree and pass the NCLEX to apply for a license as a RN.
