Description:

We’re Hiring: Application Specialist / Product Engineer

We’re looking for an Application Specialist / Product Engineer to join our team in a highly collaborative, customer-facing role. This position blends hands-on engineering with product demonstrations and new product development, working closely with customers, distribution partners, sales, and internal engineering.

This is a hybrid role, combining remote work with periodic on-site collaboration for product demos, prototyping, and production support.

What You’ll Do

• Lead live and virtual product demonstrations for customers, partners, and industry events

• Provide technical application support and consultative fixture design guidance

• Design custom fixtures and contribute to new product development initiatives

• Create 3D CAD models and detailed engineering drawings using Onshape

• Support prototyping, testing, and validation using 3D printing and machining resources

• Manage customer fixture projects end-to-end, from RFQ and quoting through build, testing, and delivery

• Generate accurate engineering quotes and support order entry and execution

• Participate in a structured stage-gate new product development process, from concept through launch

• Collaborate with sales, engineering, and production teams to identify product improvements and NPI opportunities

• Develop and maintain technical documentation, BOMs, assembly drawings, and proposal visuals

• Support quality processes including engineering reviews and corrective actions

• Maintain demo kits and contribute to technical content for marketing and trade shows

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)

• 3+ years of experience in applications engineering, product engineering, or manufacturing environments

• Proficiency with 3D CAD software (Onshape or SolidWorks required)

• Strong understanding of inspection, metrology, and fixture design principles

• Hands-on experience with prototyping methods such as 3D printing and machining

• Strong communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills

• Ability to manage multiple projects independently in a hybrid work environment

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools

Why This Role

This role offers a unique opportunity to combine engineering, customer interaction, and product innovation—making a direct impact on both product development and customer success.
