Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the end-to-end design coordination process across Mechanical, Electrical, and specialist packages for hyperscale data center projects
Act as the primary interface between the client, design consultants, contractors, and key stakeholders to ensure seamless design delivery
Oversee design development from concept through detailed design, construction, commissioning, and handover
Manage and coordinate multidisciplinary design teams to ensure alignment with project scope, performance requirements, and technical standards
Review and challenge design proposals to ensure compliance with client requirements, data center standards, and industry best practices
Drive design risk management by identifying, tracking, and resolving design issues in a timely manner
Coordinate with BIM teams to ensure accurate, clash-free, and constructible design models
Support value engineering initiatives while maintaining performance, resilience, and uptime requirements critical to hyperscale environments
Manage technical submittals, RFIs, design change control, and document approvals
Ensure designs align with commissioning strategies and operational requirements for mission critical infrastructure
Liaise with construction teams to ensure design intent is maintained through delivery and installation phases
Attend and lead technical workshops, design reviews, and client meetings
Maintain program alignment and support delivery against critical project milestones
Ensure adherence to relevant codes, standards, and hyperscale client specifications
Provide technical leadership and guidance across all design disciplines
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related engineering disciple
Proven experience in mission critical construction environments (data centers, large-scale infrastructure, or critical facilities)
Strong background in MEP design coordination within complex building services projects
Experience working in a client-side consultancy, developer, or design management role preferred
Demonstrated involvement in hyperscale or large-scale data center projects
Strong understanding of commissioning processes in high-availability environments
Proficiency with BIM processes and multidisciplinary coordination tools
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Strong technical knowledge of MEP systems, redundancy strategies, and resilient infrastructure design
Ability to manage multiple design packages and drive delivery under tight program constraints
Familiarity with industry standards relevant to data centers and critical environments
Proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of working in fast-paced, high-pressure project environments
