Accounting Manager Responsibilities:
Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process across multiple legal entities, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and consistency
Prepare and review consolidated financial statements, intercompany eliminations, and management reporting packages for senior leadership
Maintain and oversee balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, and journal entries in accordance with US GAAP
Lead and develop a team of staff and senior accountants, setting clear expectations and creating a culture of ownership and accountability
Collaborate with FP&A on budget-to-actual variance analysis, cost allocations, and monthly financial commentary
Serve as a primary point of contact for external auditors, coordinating audit requests and managing the year-end audit process
Build and improve processes from the ground up across the close cycle, internal controls, and reporting workflows
Support the onboarding and integration of new business units into the consolidated accounting structure
Partner with tax and treasury on compliance filings, cash flow reporting, and intercompany funding activity
Accounting Manager Qualifications:
5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 1 years in a supervisory or management role
Proven command of US GAAP, multi-entity consolidations, and intercompany accounting
Background in a product-driven or consumer-facing business. You understand inventory, cost of goods, and margin reporting
Comfortable operating in ambiguity. You know how to build structure where there isn't any yet
Experience with ERP systems SAP Business One or NetSuite
Strong communicator who can translate technical accounting into something leadership actually uses
High attention to detail with a track record of meeting tight deadlines without sacrificing accuracy
