We are partnering with a growing aerospace & defense organization seeking an experienced Export Compliance Specialist to support critical trade compliance operations within a highly regulated environment. This is a high-visibility role supporting defense programs and working cross-functionally with operations, supply chain, logistics, and leadership teams.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure compliance with ITAR, EAR, and OFAC regulations
Prepare and review export documentation, including:
EEI filings
Commercial invoices
Shipping documentation
Perform ECCN and HTS classifications
Conduct restricted party screening and support export licensing activities
Coordinate with internal stakeholders, freight forwarders, and customs brokers
Maintain accurate, audit-ready compliance records
Identify compliance risks and drive continuous process improvements
Qualifications
3–7 years of import/export or trade compliance experience
Strong working knowledge of ITAR/EAR regulations
Hands-on experience with export documentation and product classifications
Experience working with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Background
Aerospace, defense, or advanced manufacturing industry experience
Export licensing experience
Trade compliance or customs certifications
