Backend Java Developer – Ecommerce Platforms
We’re hiring a Backend Java Developer to support enterprise ecommerce systems within a high-volume transactional environment. This role is heavily focused on backend commerce functionality including APIs, catalog management, pricing, checkout flows, order processing, integrations, and scalable backend services.
This is a strong fit for someone who has worked behind the scenes of ecommerce platforms and understands how commerce systems operate in production environments.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Developing and enhancing Java/Spring Boot backend services
Building REST APIs supporting catalog, pricing, checkout, and order workflows
Integrating ecommerce systems with ERP platforms, payment gateways, inventory systems, and third-party tools
Supporting scalable transactional systems with a focus on performance and reliability
Troubleshooting production issues and contributing to backend platform improvements
What We’re Looking For:
2+ years of professional backend Java development experience
Strong Java + Spring/Spring Boot skills
Experience supporting ecommerce or commerce-related backend systems
Experience with REST APIs and transactional systems
Understanding of ecommerce workflows including catalog structure, pricing, checkout, payments, and integrations
Preferred:
Experience with SAP Commerce (Hybris), Oracle Commerce, Magento, WebSphere Commerce, or similar platforms
Microservices or distributed systems exposure
Event-driven architecture experience
Cloud environment exposure
This is not a frontend/web design role — we’re specifically looking for backend engineers with experience supporting commerce functionality at scale.
