Description:

Project Manager/ Business Relationship Manager – AI & Digital Initiatives

Overview

Our client is seeking a highly adaptable Project Manager/ BRM to support fast-moving initiatives within its AI and advanced digital platforms space. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in unstructured environments, enjoys bringing clarity to ambiguity, and can operate as a bridge between business leaders and technical teams.

Rather than a traditional PMO-driven program manager, this person will act as a connector, translator, and doer—helping shape priorities, drive momentum, and ensure outcomes across evolving initiatives tied to AI, data, and enterprise platforms.

Key Responsibilities

Business Partnership & Initiative Support

Partner closely with business leaders to intake, shape, and prioritize new initiatives, often with loosely defined scope.

Act as a trusted advisor/BRM—helping translate business needs into actionable work for technical teams.

Bring structure and direction to early-stage or ambiguous efforts, helping teams move forward quickly.

Delivery & Coordination in a Fast-Moving Environment

Drive execution across multiple concurrent initiatives, often with fluid priorities and evolving requirements.

Coordinate across cross-functional teams (engineering, data, product, operations), ensuring alignment and forward progress without heavy process overhead.

Step in as needed to unblock teams, facilitate decisions, and keep momentum in dynamic, sometimes chaotic environments.

Communication & Stakeholder Alignment

Serve as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring mutual understanding and realistic expectations.

Communicate status, risks, and tradeoffs in a clear, business-friendly way—without over-reliance on formal governance structures.

Build strong relationships across teams to drive collaboration and accountability.

Practical Execution & Problem Solving

Help define lightweight plans, priorities, and next steps—focusing on progress over perfection.

Identify gaps, dependencies, and risks, and proactively navigate around roadblocks.

Support continuous improvement of how work gets done, without enforcing rigid PMO frameworks.

Required Qualifications

5–8 years of experience in project coordination, delivery, business relationship management, or similar roles.

Experience working in cross-functional environments involving technology teams (e.g., software, data, or digital platforms).

Strong ability to operate in ambiguity and bring structure to loosely defined problems.

Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate between business and technical audiences.

Proven track record of driving outcomes without formal authority.

Preferred / Nice-to-Have

Experience supporting AI, data, or digital initiatives (no deep technical expertise required).

Background outside of a highly structured or traditional PMO environment.

Comfortable working in fast-paced, evolving organizations or transformation efforts.

Exposure to cloud, data, or enterprise applications environments (from a coordination or business-facing perspective).

What Success Looks Like

Brings clarity and momentum to ambiguous initiatives

Builds strong trust with business and technical stakeholders

Keeps teams aligned and moving without over-engineering process

Thrives in—and even enjoys—a bit of chaos
