Our client is a trusted GC with decades of experience partnering with school districts and universities across Ohio. Their team is relationship-driven, collaborative, and known for mentoring and developing the next generation of leaders.
They are seeking a Superintendent to oversee K–12 and higher education projects between $20M–$50M+, someone who thrives in occupied campus environments and enjoys building lasting relationships with owners, design partners, and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities
Lead field operations for both ground-up and renovation education projects
Manage day-to-day subcontractor activity, logistics, QA/QC, and progress tracking
Ensure strict safety standards in sensitive public/occupied environments
Build strong communication with school districts, staff, and campus leadership
Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, look-aheads, and site plans
Drive project milestones and resolve field issues proactively
Mentor and develop Assistant Supers and Field Engineers
Qualifications
5+ years of Superintendent experience with a GC/CM
Experience managing education (K–12 or higher ed) projects $20M–$50M+
Strong campus coordination experience and comfort working in operational school environments
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Procore experience preferred
Compensation & Benefits
$105K–$155K base
Annual bonus + profit sharing

The ideal candidate will be comfortable overseeing the entire operation of the construction site. They should be able to determine and address any risk areas in order to maintain the safety of workers. This candidate should be experienced in communicating project milestones with clients and other parties, and be able to establish a timeline for completion.
