Cable Technician

Job Description

Insight Global is seeking Cable Technicians to support a large-scale data center construction project for a client. This role is ideal for candidates with some construction or electrical exposure who are eager to learn, work hands-on, and grow within a fast-paced jobsite environment. The team will support wire pulling, terminations, and careful handling of pre-terminated fiber across a massive campus footprint. Candidates must be safety-conscious, dependable, and able to pick up new skills quickly.

Day-to-Day:

Assist with wire pulling across a large data center campus environment

Perform basic electrical and low-voltage terminations

Handle pre-terminated fiber with care and attention

Follow site safety protocols and OSHA standards

Work alongside experienced tradespeople and supervisors

Adapt quickly to changing tasks and priorities on site

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Must-Haves:

Ability to pass DT (Drug Test) and BC (Background Check)

MUST HAVE A BIRTH CERTIFICATE

Some hands-on experience with:

Wire pulling

Terminations

Basic fiber awareness/experience

Does not need splicing or terminating fiber

Must understand fiber is fragile (no dropping, stepping, mishandling)

Ability to learn quickly and pick up tasks fast

Plusses:

OSHA 10, Lift Safety, Fall Safety, HazCom Safety certifications (Must obtain these prior to starting the job)

Low-voltage or electrical background

Experience working on large, active construction sites, or in data centers
