Production Operations Manager Trinity, TX Operations / Manufacturing Leadership Our client is a growing structural steel and fabrication organization seeking a hands-on Production Operations Manager to lead daily operations inside a high-output production facility.

This is a leadership role for someone who understands how to drive production, maintain quality, improve workflow, and build accountability across a fabrication environment where schedules, safety, and execution matter.

You’ll oversee production operations, coordinate closely with project management and field leadership, and ensure the shop operates efficiently while delivering quality work on time.

This role is ideal for a strong manufacturing or steel operations leader who thrives on the floor, understands fabrication workflows, and can balance people leadership with operational execution.

What You’ll Be Responsible ForLead day-to-day production operations across the facilityDrive productivity, scheduling, workflow coordination, and labor utilizationSupervise fabrication personnel and production support staffCoordinate with Project Management, Purchasing, Safety, QA/QC, and Field Operations to ensure production timelines are achievedReview drawings, specifications, and production requirements to support successful project executionMonitor production performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement operational improvementsMaintain compliance with quality standards, safety protocols, and production proceduresSupport workforce development, training, certifications, and operational accountability across the shopPartner with leadership to evaluate production capacity, scheduling priorities, and operational impact on profitability What We’re Looking For5+ years of leadership experience within a manufacturing, fabrication, steel, or industrial production environmentStrong supervisory and team leadership capabilitiesExperience managing production schedules, manpower planning, and shop operationsAbility to read and interpret fabrication drawings and production blueprintsUnderstanding of structural steel fabrication, welding operations, or industrial manufacturing workflowsStrong communication and organizational skills with the ability to coordinate across departmentsKnowledge of production safety standards and operational best practicesBilingual Spanish is a plus, but not required Preferred BackgroundStructural steel fabricationMiscellaneous metalsIndustrial manufacturingWelding and fabrication operationsHeavy industrial or construction-related production environments CertificationsOSHA 10 preferredWelding certifications are a plus Why This Opportunity Stands OutHigh-visibility operational leadership roleDirect impact on production performance and executionGrowing organization with long-term opportunityFast-paced environment with meaningful operational responsibilityStrong collaboration between shop, field, and project leadership
