Position Overview:
FWC has a current opportunity available for an Attorney. The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of litigation experience in matters involving the healthcare industry and will be a current member of the California State Bar. Candidates must possess excellent academic credentials as well as strong organizational, writing, and analytical skills.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $130,000.00 – $170,000.00 per year
Compensation commensurate with experience.

Key Responsibilities:
Independently manage a high-volume caseload from inception through resolution.
Consistently engage in the preparation of client reports, both formal and informal.
Handle all aspects of litigation, including court appearances, depositions, trial preparation, and legal research.
Manage written discovery and prepare for depositions.
Conduct fact investigations, participate in law and motion practice, and interface with expert witnesses.
Engage in social media investigations relevant to casework.
Collaborate with team members while also working independently.
Qualifications:
JD degree
Admitted to practice in California
Medical background and/or familiarity with medical records and terms is a plus*
Experience managing written discovery, and preparing for depositions
Must be able to work independently as well as part of a team.
Must possess strong written and analytical skills, as well as be committed to exceptional client service.
Excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to multitask
Detailed oriented and strong rapport-building skills
Exercising a high degree of initiative, independence, and the ability to meet time frames in performing assigned tasks.
