Opportunity:

Physician - Internal Medicine - Hematology and Oncology

Job Details:

Full-time hematology/oncology locums coverage position starting early August

Monday through Friday schedule from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Work alongside team of 3 MDs and 3 APPs with support from RN/MA, navigators and infusion RNs

Perform bone marrow biopsies as required

1:4 weekly hospital call coverage from Friday 7:30 AM to Friday 7:30 AM

Daily hospital rounding for 1-2 hours Monday through Sunday

Additional weekday afternoon rounding from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM

Provide care for acute leukemic patients and inpatient chemotherapy patients

Handle phone calls during call coverage with rare call-ins required

Share weekday clinic call responsibilities for add-on consults and chemotherapy patient supervision

Supervise chemotherapy clinic patients independently

Average of 15 patient encounters per shift

Must be board certified or board eligible with fellowship training required

ACLS, ATLS, and BLS certifications required

Must utilize real-time mobile time clock with GPS capability
