Collections Coordinator Lead

Fully Remote Full-Time (9:00am-5:30pm ET)

Lead, Coach, and Elevate a High-Impact Financial Operations Team

We're seeking an experienced Collections Coordinator Lead to oversee daily operations, support team performance, and manage complex receivable and payoff workflows. In this role, you'll combine hands-on account management with leadership responsibilities-guiding a team, driving quality, and ensuring smooth, compliant operations.

Team Leadership & Workflow Oversight (20-30%)

Provide day-to-day guidance, coaching, and support to team members

Monitor productivity, accuracy, and adherence to established processes

Assist with onboarding, training, and continuous improvement initiatives

Help prioritize and allocate workflow to meet team goals

Account & Payoff Management (40-50%)

Manage complex receivable accounts and payoff requests end-to-end

Review balances, documentation, and settlement details for accuracy

Partner with attorneys, law firms, and internal teams to ensure timely resolution

Client & Escalation Support (25-35%)

Triage inbound calls and step in on escalated inquiries

Provide clear, professional updates on account status and next steps

Maintain consistent communication across email and internal platforms

Accounting & Operations Support (15-25%)

Perform accounting-related tasks tied to receivables and payoff processing

Support reconciliations and ensure financial accuracy across accounts What Sets You Up for Success

Experience in AR/AP, collections, payoffs, or financial operations

Proven ability to lead, coach, or mentor others (formally or informally)

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Ability to work independently and lead effectively in a remote environment

Proficiency with Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Slack, Box, and Outlook

Beginner to intermediate Excel skills (basic formulas; pre-built sheets provided)

Nice to Have:

Mortgage industry experience (strongly preferred)

Experience with legal, medical, or personal injury collections

Prior payoff processing experience
