We are seeking a OpenText Dialogue (Exstream) Developer to support high-volume document creation and composition initiatives for regulated customer communications. OpenText is the vendor platform; Dialogue (Exstream) is the actual product used day-to-day.
This is a hands-on development role focused primarily on template-driven document composition. The developer will work on building and enhancing two different types of statements and ensuring composed outputs are reliably delivered to downstream systems.
This is a 12-month contract role based in Columbus, Ohio.
While 7+ years of relevant experience is preferred, candidates with 5+ years may be considered if they demonstrate strong depth and hands-on expertise during interviews.

Implement robust data mapping with clear handling of nulls, defaults, formatting, and special characters
Apply pre-compose validation checks to prevent silent compliance defects
Design batch jobs for predictable throughput, restartability, and operational recovery
Performance, Scalability & Quality
Tune batch performance by addressing layout complexity, conditional logic hotspots, image usage, and resource loading
Manage memory footprint and batch sizing for long-running jobs
Build and maintain golden-sample regression test suites for PDF and AFP outputs
Execute edge-case testing (overflow scenarios, long strings, missing data, boundary conditions)
Operations, Monitoring & Observability
Support hosting of Exstream and related workloads on AWS
Integrate with upstream and downstream systems for batch handoffs
Use CloudWatch and Splunk for application logging and monitoring
Demonstrate working knowledge of observability concepts including logs, metrics, and failure visibility
Contribute to operational runbooks and production support practices
Release, Governance & Compliance
Follow version control and promotion discipline for templates, rules, and resources
Perform change impact analysis and support rollback readiness
Enforce strong PII handling, masking, and secure data practices aligned with policy

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $65.00/hr.
