Job Title Adjunct Instructor - WCC Life and Work Skills Academy Job Description The Adjunct Instructor will teach assigned courses within the Life & Work Skills Academy and provide direct support to students with documented disabilities as they develop essential life, work, academic, and social skills.

Location: Eckerd Camp in Boomer Full Time or Part Time Part Time Essential Duties Summary The instructor is responsible for planning and delivering engaging, accessible lessons; creating instructional materials aligned with program outcomes; and adapting instruction to meet diverse learning needs.

This role includes supporting students in building independence, self advocacy, communication, and problem solving skills while maintaining a positive and inclusive classroom environment.

The instructor will monitor student progress, maintain accurate records, and document attendance and performance.

Additional responsibilities include collaborating with the Program Director, Access to Achievement Coordinator and community partners to support internships, job shadowing experiences, and workforce development activities.

The instructor will also participate in required meetings, trainings, and professional development, assist students with portfolio and capstone work, and help facilitate community based learning experiences as needed.

Required Qualifications * ·Bachelor's degree * Experience working with individuals with disabilities in educational, vocational, or community settings.

* Strong communication, organization, and classroom management skills.

* Commitment to inclusive teaching practices and student success.

Preferred Qualifications * Teaching experience * Background in career counseling, job coaching, or transition services.

* Familiarity with assistive technology and accessibility tools.

* Experience coordinating internships or community based learning.

Physical Demands Working Conditions: Work is primarily performed under general supervision in an office or classroom setting with appropriate climate controls.

Travel, early morning, evening, and weekend work may be required.

Essential functions of this position require lifting, manual dexterity, ability to communicate.

Medium work: Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally; involves sitting only occasionally, walking and standing are required regularly, incumbents may be required to kneel, crouch/squat, crawl, climb, stoop, turn/twist, balance, reach, or handle.

Mental Application: Utilizes memory for details, verbal instructions, emotional stability, critical thinking, adaptability, and creative problem-solving skills are important.

Salary Grade Salary Commensurate with education and experience in accordance with the college salary plan.
