About the Role

Start Date: June 16 - End Date: August 11

Join the Publications team and support the development of ASH publications, including Hematology: ASH Education Program and Blood. This internship offers hands-on experience in academic publishing, editorial workflows, and Annual Meeting publications while working with cross-functional teams.

What You'll Do

Process manuscripts in editorial systems (update records, track workflow, assign article types)

Perform quality checks on submissions (files, formatting, compliance)

Prepare accepted manuscripts for production (final files, metadata, routing)

Respond to author, reviewer, and editor inquiries

Support Annual Meeting abstract review (inbox monitoring, scheduling, logistics)

What We're Looking For

Undergraduate student or recent graduate (juniors/seniors preferred)

Major in Public Health, Communications, English or related field

Strong attention to detail and organization

Effective written communication skills

Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines

Skills

Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel-basic/intermediate preferred)

Ability to learn new systems and tools

Professional and customer-service oriented communication
