Position : Materials Specialist

Client : Electrical systems and provides services for the Aerospace

Location : Orlando FL 32822

Duration : 5 Months (May gets extent)

Shift : Hours: 7am-3:30pm (Monday - Friday)

Rate : $13.00 / hour on W2

Job Description

Duties:

The Materials Specialist works and is responsible for shipping and receiving, stocking of parts, inventory control, housekeeping of the work area, document creation/review, and extensive data entry.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Inventory and computer inventory management systems/barcoding entry

Inspects and shelves incoming Materials for damage and quantity and update paperwork as needed

Processes material to be shipped to our customers around the world

Stocks Materials and pulls Materials from stock

Ensures Materials for shipment are packaged properly

Locates and counts Materials in support of cycle counting/inventory

Key Responsibilities:

This is mostly a clerical - data entry position within a warehouse.

This is not a DOT classified role - this candidate must pass a pre-employment drug screen as part of the hiring process.

The worker will not operate a forklift.

Additional Information:

They are going into multiple screens and entering a reason for removal, an inspection of the product (looking for hidden damages)

Repetitive data entry

Will be using a bar code scanner

85% of this position is data entry

Will use a spreadsheet from Excel then import into SAP (will train on SAP)

Must be computer literate in Outlook and Excel

This is not a typical Mat Specialist position. Clerical within a warehouse atmosphere

Hours: 7am-3:30pm

Skills:

Required Competencies:

Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel - must be able to type

SAP experience preferred

Excellent verbal (telephone) communication skills

Ability to work well with others and complete tasks with minimal supervision

Solid team and people skills

Flexibility and agility skills

Physical Demands:

General office and electronics Lab environment

Position subject to FAA drug program requirements

Occasional overtime and flexibility in work schedule

Some stress may occur

Education:

Required Education and Experience:

High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) Diploma

Warehousing background preferred but not required
