Job Description
Quality Technician
Bowden Manufacturing is seeking a detail-oriented, hands-on Quality Technician to support in-process and final inspection of CNC-machined parts. This role plays a key part in ensuring our products meet engineering drawings, customer specifications, and quality standards while supporting continuous improvement across the shop.
What You’ll Do
Perform in-process and final inspections of CNC-machined parts to verify compliance with drawings, specifications, and customer requirements
Work closely with machine operators and engineers to identify and resolve quality issues in real time
Inspect raw materials, in-process parts, and finished products to ensure quality standards are met
Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and customer specifications, including GD&T requirements
Use precision measurement tools such as micrometers, calipers, and optical comparators
Document inspection results and prepare reports for the Quality Manager
Collaborate with production and quality teams to drive corrective actions and continuous improvement
Support the maintenance and improvement of quality systems through clear communication
Assist in developing and implementing quality processes and procedures
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with all safety requirements
Qualifications
U.S. Citizenship required
High school diploma or equivalent; additional quality or inspection training preferred
Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
Working knowledge of GD&T and inspection techniques
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Proven problem-solving ability and data-driven mindset
Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced team environment
Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn
Ability to stay focused and accurate under pressure
