The dishwasher/prep role is a vital part of a small evening kitchen team, responsible for maintaining cleanliness, supporting food preparation, and ensuring sanitation standards. This position works closely with kitchen staff, providing essential coordination to keep kitchen operations running smoothly and safely. There are opportunities for advancement to prep cook or line cook roles within the kitchen.

Responsibilities

Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment

Clean and sanitize kitchen surfaces

Assist with basic food preparation tasks

Dispose of trash and maintain cleanliness of work area

Maintain compliance with sanitation and safety standards

Coordinate regularly with kitchen staff to ensure smooth workflow

Preferred Qualifications

Entry-level experience in kitchen support

Knowledge of kitchen safety and sanitation standards

Basic food handling skills

Ability to work well in a team environment
