Position Overview

The Senior Superintendent leads field operations to deliver complex construction projects safely, on time, and within budget. This role oversees on-site teams, subcontractors, quality control, and schedule coordination while maintaining strong client relationships. The Senior Superintendent drives site execution for large-scale and technically demanding projects, with an emphasis on safety, efficiency, and constructability.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage daily on-site construction activities, ensuring adherence to schedule, budget, and quality standards.

Develop, maintain, and drive the construction schedule; coordinate trade sequencing and manage critical path activities.

Supervise, mentor, and evaluate site staff and subcontractors; enforce accountability and high performance standards.

Implement and enforce site safety programs and ensure compliance with all regulatory and company safety requirements.

Coordinate logistics, materials, equipment, and site access to optimize productivity and minimize disruptions.

Collaborate with project management, design teams, and clients to resolve constructability issues and implement solutions.

Conduct regular site inspections, quality control checks, and punch list walkthroughs; ensure deliverables meet specifications.

Prepare and present daily/weekly field reports, progress updates, and risk assessments to project leadership.

Manage subcontractor scopes, schedules, and performance; review and approve daily manpower and subcontractor invoices.

Drive continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and improve project outcomes.Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.

Minimum 812 years of progressive construction experience with at least 35 years in a superintendent or senior superintendent role.

Proven track record as a Senior Superintendent overseeing large, complex projects.

Strong knowledge of construction means and methods, scheduling tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera), and construction documentation.

Excellent leadership, communication, and team-building skills with experience managing multiple trades on site.

Demonstrated commitment to safety with relevant certifications (OSHA 30, first aid/CPR preferred).

Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contracts.

Experience with quality control processes and punch list management.

Willingness to work on-site full time and travel between project locations as required.

Nice to have: direct experience on Mission Critical facilities and Commercial Construction projects, familiarity with MEP coordination and high-security/low-tolerance environments.
