We are hiring for a Compounding Pharmacy Technician here in Columbus, Ohio! This is a long-term career opportunity with potential to grow over time.

A candidate for this role must be PTCB Certified and have Sterile OR Non-Sterile Compounding experience (sterile experience would be preferred).

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Certified Compounding Pharmacy Technician to join our team. In this role, you will mix IV and other pharmaceutical preparations using proper sterile compounding techniques. You will adhere to all documented instructions, warnings, procedures, and best practices to ensure safe and effective drug preparation. This is an exciting opportunity to help start a pharmacy and grow with a brand new business in Ohio.

Responsibilities

Mix IV and other pharmaceutical preparations using proper sterile compounding techniques.

Adhere to all documented instructions, warnings, procedures, and best practices to ensure safe and effective drug preparation.

Perform environmental monitoring, sanitation, testing, and other activities required by applicable federal and state pharmacy regulations and USP-797 standards.

Maintain accurate drug inventory through purchasing, receiving, stocking, pulling, counting, and tracking in accordance with established policies and procedures.

Enter home medication lists and lab results into CPR+ for patient profiles (when available).

Clean the ante-room and cleanroom areas following USP-797 standards.

Maintain cleanroom logs.

Verify lot numbers and periodically check inventory accuracy.

Provide availability for assisting with on-call responsibilities as needed.

Successfully complete a competency verification plan upon hire and annually thereafter to ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and applicable regulatory standards.

Uphold confidentiality concerning proprietary company information and patient/client care, complying with federal and state confidentiality laws regarding protected health information (PHI) and electronic PHI, as well as adhering to HIPAA guidelines.

Qualifications

Certification as a Pharmacy Technician (Cpht), preferably through PTCB.

Experience with compounding (preferably sterile, but may be open to non-sterile)Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Worthington, OH.Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $28.00/hr.
