Responsibilities

Serve as the primary HR partner for U.S. employees and leadership, supporting day-to-day people operations and organizational growth

Manage full-cycle recruiting, onboarding, and offboarding processes across multiple departments

Administer and coordinate payroll, employee benefits, leave tracking, and workers’ compensation processes

Develop and maintain HR policies, employee handbook updates, SOPs, and compliance procedures in accordance with federal and state labor laws

Support compensation planning, commission structures, and employee performance review processes

Handle employee relations matters, policy interpretation, performance discussions, and workplace concerns

Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation

Partner with leadership on organizational planning, headcount needs, employee development, and HR strategy

Assist with building scalable HR processes and improving internal workflows as the company grows

Coordinate office operations, supplies, vendors, and day-to-day administrative support

Organize employee engagement initiatives, company events, team lunches, and team-building activities

Support various operational and administrative initiatives in a dynamic startup environment

Help foster a positive, collaborative, and high-accountability workplace culture

Qualifications

3+ years of progressive HR experience in a Generalist, HRBP, or People Operations role

Strong knowledge of U.S. federal and multi-state labor laws and HR compliance practices

Experience supporting payroll, compensation planning, and performance review processes

Hands-on experience in recruiting and employee relations

Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills

Ability to operate independently in a fast-paced, evolving environment

Startup experience strongly preferred

Professional working proficiency in both Mandarin Chinese and English is required
