User Experience Researcher

Now Hiring: UX Researcher

Location: Columbus, Ohio (Onsite)

Contract: Initial 3 months (potential extension)

Hourly Rate: $55/hr

We’re looking for a UX Researcher to join a high-impact Consumer Bank Research team within Design & CX. This role will focus on shaping both employee (banker) and customer experiences through data-driven research that directly informs product strategy and decision-making.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys jumping into complex environments, owning research end-to-end, and influencing real product outcomes.

What You’ll Do

Support product strategy and development across the full lifecycle including discovery, development, testing, and optimization

Lead mixed-methods research initiatives with a strong emphasis on quantitative insights

Conduct surveys, interviews, and unmoderated studies to gather actionable insights

Map customer and employee journeys and identify pain points across tools, systems, and processes

Deliver clear recommendations and implications to guide product and design decisions

Partner with cross-functional teams across design, product, content, tech, and analytics

Step into paused and net-new research initiatives and move them forward quickly

What We’re Looking For

Strong mixed-methods UX research background (qualitative + quantitative)

Comfortable leading research independently and selecting the right methodology for each project

Experience supporting product teams and influencing product decisions

Hands-on experience with tools like UserTesting, Dovetail, and Maze

Ability to synthesize insights and clearly communicate next steps and recommendations

Strong collaboration skills across design, content, and product teams

Nice to Have

Background in anthropology, ethnography, or human-centered design

Experience with service design or systems thinking

Experience working in complex enterprise or banking environments
